Come enjoy the Annual Fish Fry to benefit Jeremiah’s Letter will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on March 27 from 5 – 7 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Children under 10 are $5. The meal includes all you can eat fish, French fries, cole slaw and dessert bar. Tickets will be available after early service and before late service. If you decide that God is leading you to membership at Good Shepherd, we invite you to join our upcoming New Member Orientation session that will be held on Sunday, March 14 from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. This session will be led by Pastor Prochaska. The orientation will be helpful in letting you know more about Good Shepherd and our missions, as we invite you to participate in opportunities to grow in grace.
You are invited to piano recitals by students of Deborah Macaulay. The recitals will be held at Good Shepherd on Saturday, March 13 at 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
VBS-Egypt: Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace is scheduled for July 26th through July 30th this summer.
Please join us for our first Dessert Auction on Sunday, April 18th at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $5 per family and a special Kid’s auction for $1. The proceeds from this fun family event will support our Vacation Bible School program this summer. Bring your favorite dessert to share as one of the items to be auctioned that evening. We welcome Frank Lewis and Sons who will be our auctioneers for the evening.
Easter Egg Hunt April 3rd 10-11:45 am for kids preschool age through fifth grade. Come join us for an Egg Hunt and some special Easter crafts. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall for an opening and instructions. We request that parents stay during this event to assist the kids with all of the stations.
Next weekend a basket will be placed in the narthex to receive items you may wish to donate to Jeremiah’s Letter. In serving the community with ongoing ministries, JLI has found a need for the following items: Canned Fruit, Canned Meat, Jelly, Broth Based Soups, Juice, Spaghetti Sauce, Snacks (puddings, pretzels, cookies), Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Deodorant, Towels, Wash Clothes, Blankets, Laundry Soap, Dish Soap, Paper Towels, Poncho/Rain Gear. OWLS come join us for lunch and some history of Centerville. We will meet at Las Piramides Restaurant at 101 W. Franklin in Centerville at 12:30 on March 19. After lunch we will go 2 houses down to the Walton House at 89 W. Franklin to hear Ferne Reilich tell us about the history of the home. Come join us for just lunch or just for the tour at about 1:30. Please let Mary Ann Sauer know if you are coming so the restaurant can plan for us.
The youth will prepare a pancake & sausage breakfast on Easter morning. We will serve from 9 – 10:30 am. This is a wonderful time to fellowship and share the joy of a risen Christ. Sugar-free syrup available upon request. A free-will offering will be accepted to help defer costs.
