I grew up in Logan, in the heart of the beautiful Hocking Hills of Southeastern Ohio. My degrees in Biology and Psychology were earned at Capital University and my Master of Divinity Degree is from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Bexley, Ohio.
After internships with congregations in Michigan and Grove City, Ohio I served as Interim Pastor to two congregations in Southern Ohio. Following graduation I was called to Providence Lutheran Church in Brookville, Ohio until I received my call to Good Shepherd in 2012.
Service to the church and community is important at Good Shepherd and it is important to me. I attended my first Via de Christo weekend in 2002 and have continued to be encouraged by this movement that inspires, challenges and equips people for Christian action at home, in church and in the community.
I enjoy sports of all types and play both community and church league softball. I always look forward to meeting new people. It’s a joy to be able to share my faith with others, not only through conversation but also by example through involvement in the church and my community.
I consider myself fortunate to serve with strong lay leaders and an inclusive, dedicated and service-oriented congregation. Good Shepherd doesn’t rely solely on its Pastor for leadership and direction. This is truly a cohesive church family that works together to seek, serve and share Jesus Christ.
