OUTREACH AND SERVICES
Food Pantry News
Our May food donations were delivered to local food pantries on June 2 – totaling 160 food items. Thank you for faithfully remembering the families who are served by the food pantries in our community. As you make your personal food purchases, consider adding a few items for these families. It will be a wonderful way to help those around us. It is very helpful to avoid donations of food in glass containers so that nothing can be broken.
If you would like to volunteer on a Thursday at the Feeding Friends Pantry on Bigger Road near the former Victoria’s Secret Building, click here to sign up.

MISCELLANEOUS
NEW: FROM DON
Friends,
Grace and peace to you. I want to thank you all for the kind words and gifts you bestowed on me this past weekend. I was exceedingly touched by everything, especially by your prayers for me. God blessed me when I was led to Good Shepherd some 38 years ago. I was blessed again when I came on staff some 22 years ago. I have been blessed ever since by the love and patience you showered on me. It has been a true joy to serve and work with you in the intervening years. I would have liked to have thanked you during the services but I was afraid I would lose my composure. I came close several times as it was!
You will probably not see Paula and me during the next three months as I adjust to not being on staff. We will be doing a little traveling and visiting some other congregations. However, Good Shepherd is our home, and we’ll be back come September, God willing. In the meantime, may God continue to bless you and Good Shepherd.
Thank you again for who you are, for the love you have shown me and my family, and for sharing all the kind words and memories this past weekend.
God’s peace,
Don
