OUTREACH AND SERVICES
NEW: GRIEFSHARE Good Shepherd is again offering GriefShare for anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one. This ministry offers biblical, Christ-centered teaching on topics associated with the death of a loved one. It is a place to find support and comfort in the company of others who are experiencing loss. The video seminar series and participant guide feature nationally respected grief experts and real-life personal stories. Each week there are group discussions about the weekly topics and personal grief experiences. Good Shepherd will host the 13 week program, GriefShare: Your Journey from Mourning to Joy, in person and online from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Sundays. The classes begin on September 7 and continue through December 7. If you or someone you know is interested, please register online at www.griefshare.org or call the church office (937-298-0136). If you have any questions, contact Kathy Seim (937-901-0532) or Pam Bauser (937-602-8385).
NEW: HOLIDAY AT HOME
Labor Day kicks off September this year. Going Country is the Kettering HAH parade theme. Once again Good Shepherd is hosting a booth to serve the parade goers at the corner of Far Hills and Storms. We will be offering hot dogs, chips and water to all who come as a way of sharing God’s love at this community event. Donations received at the parade booth will go to Crayons for Classrooms.
How can you help?
1. Donate. Make a monetary donation for the purchasing of supplies. Place donations in the white pew envelope marking it for HAH or select HAH as a special offering in Tithley.
2. Volunteer. Help staff the booth and greet folks as they walk past. Come help with set up or clean up on September 1st.
3. Pray. Keep this outreach to the community in your prayers.
Contact Sandy Rosholt for more information

MISCELLANEOUS
NEW: OFFICE REFRESH
During this time of transition, the Properties and Facilities Commission, with council approval, completed a project to upgrade the main office area with new flooring and fresh paint on the walls and ceilings. The floor was contracted out with the company who completed the lounge flooring, and everything else was completed by volunteers saving thousands of dollars by doing it in-house. On behalf of the congregation, a huge thank you to the people who volunteered their time and talents to make it happen. The funds for this project came from the Heritage Fund as it was not a budgeted item. Thank you to everyone who gave, and continue to donate, generously to the Heritage Fund. This fund helps pay for the special projects not included in the Annual Budget. You can see a few “before and after” pictures on the screens and you’re invited to visit the office and see the new look in person. Thanks, and have a blessed day!
